JobSummary:
The CleaningOperations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the dailyoperations of the cleaning in all our business operations. Weprovide cleaning caretaking and Site Management to both the privateand public sector ensuring all cleaning activities are carried outefficiently and to the highest standards. The role involvesmanaging a team of cleaning staff coordinating schedulesmaintaining supplies and ensuring compliance with health and safetyregulations. The Cleaning Operations Manager will also beresponsible for customer satisfaction managing budgets and drivingcontinuous improvement in cleaningprocesses.
KeyResponsibilities:
* TeamManagement:
o Recruittrain and supervise cleaning staff ensuring they are equipped withthe necessary skills and tools to perform their dutieseffectively.
o Develop and managestaff schedules ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts andlocations.
o Conduct regularperformance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and support toteam members.
o Handle employeerelations issues including disciplinary actions whennecessary.
* OperationsManagement:
o Overseethe daily cleaning operations ensuring all areas meet company andclient standards.
o Develop andimplement cleaning protocols schedules and procedures to ensureefficiency andeffectiveness.
o Monitor the qualityof cleaning services through regular inspections and audits takingcorrective actions asneeded.
o Coordinate with otherdepartments to ensure seamless operations and address any issuesthatarise.
* Clientand CustomerRelations:
o Act asthe primary point of contact for clients regarding cleaningservices ensuring their needs are met and issues are promptlyaddressed.
o Build and maintain strongrelationships with clients regularly soliciting feedback to improveservice quality.
o Handle customercomplaints and service recovery in a timely and professionalmanner.
* Healthand SafetyCompliance:
o Ensureall cleaning operations comply with health and safety regulationsand company policies.
o Conductregular safety audits and implement corrective measures asneeded.
o Provide ongoing training tostaff on safety procedures the use of cleaning equipment andhazardous materialshandling.
* Budgetand InventoryManagement:
o Developand manage the cleaning department budget controlling costs whilemaintaining service quality.
o Monitorand manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies ensuring timelyordering and stockmanagement.
o Identify opportunitiesfor cost savings and process improvements without compromisingservicequality.
* ReportingandDocumentation:
o Prepareregular reports on cleaning operations including staff performancecustomer satisfaction and budgetadherence.
o Maintain accurate recordsof cleaning schedules staff assignments and inventorylevels.
o Ensure all incidentsaccidents and near misses are documented and reported in line withcompanyprocedures.
* ContinuousImprovement:
o Identifyand implement opportunities to improve cleaning processesefficiency and service quality.
o Stayupdated with industry trends and best practices integratingrelevant advancements intooperations.
o Lead or participate inspecial projects aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness ofcleaningoperations.
WorkEnvironment:
* Primarilyofficebased with regular visits to cleaningsites.
* May require evening orweekend work depending on operationalneeds.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Education:
o Highschool diploma or equivalent required; a degree in BusinessManagement Facilities Management or a related field ispreferred.
* Experience:
o Minimumof 5 years of experience in cleaning or facilities management withat least 2 years in a supervisory or managerialrole.
o Experience managing a diverseteam and working in a customerfocusedenvironment.
* Skills:
o Strongleadership and team managementskills.
o Excellent organizational andtime management abilities.
o Strongproblemsolving skills and attention todetail.
o Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Suite and experience with scheduling and inventorymanagement software.
o Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills.
* Certifications:
o Relevantcertifications in cleaning facilities management or health andsafety
