Customs Special procedures form the backbone of the In Service Support phase of our product lifecycle and are critical to our business model. As the primary responsibility of this role is to manage all Customs Special Procedures, your role will be crucial in ensuring that all our compliance obligations are met and our reputation is maintained with HMRC. Manage the use of Inward Processing (IP) at entry, maintain records, controls and supervise discharge within our throughput period and ensure Bill of Discharges (BOD) are reported to HMRC within the appropriate deadlines Manage the use of Customs Warehousing (CW) at entry, maintain records, controls and supervise discharge Manage the use of temporary importation at entry, maintain records, controls and supervise discharge within HMRC’s defined periods Manage the use of Outward Processing (OP) at export, maintain records and controls, supervise reimport within our throughput period Advise on authorisation amendment requirements You will help us to optimise the efficiency and compliance of customs activities across the business and join our journey towards becoming an outstanding Customs team. What we're looking for from you: A proven track record in managing customs special procedures within a professional services, HMRC or corporate environment. Comprehensive knowledge of HMRC customs regulations Someone with a high level of integrity and attention to detail, who can work independently and has excellent communication and reporting skills Experience with customs software systems is an advantage. A person who holds, or is studying towards, a professional qualification in Customs Compliance or related field is preferred.
