Senior Surveyor - Civil Construction - Huntingdon Area
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our team in a leadership capacity, with a strong focus on project management, quality assurance, and data oversight. This position is primarily office-based, supporting field teams, reviewing data, and ensuring all surveying deliverables meet project requirements and industry standards.
As a key member of our technical team, you'll play a vital role in overseeing survey operations across multiple construction projects, collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and field surveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and review surveying deliverables from field teams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and field-based surveyors.
Manage and coordinate survey data workflows, from collection through to final reporting.
Collaborate with design and construction teams to support planning, set-out, and progress tracking.
Ensure legal boundary compliance and maintain updated site records.
Lead quality control and audit processes for all surveying data and outputs.
Assist with bid proposals and planning by providing expert survey input during project tender stages.
About You:
Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Geospatial Science, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in construction surveying, including senior or supervisory roles.
Strong understanding of land surveying standards, QA/QC procedures, and data management.
Proficiency with industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Centre, Leica Infinity).
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Registration or accreditation as a Licensed Surveyor (preferred but not essential).
