A well-established secondary school in Ealing is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their team. This full-time position is available immediately and will continue until at least July 2025. The school offers an Inner London salary, and is open to part-time applicants as well.
Role Overview:
As a PE Teacher, you will inspire students to lead healthy, active lifestyles and help them develop physical, mental, and emotional well-being through physical education. You will be responsible for teaching a range of sports, fitness activities, and health-related topics, fostering teamwork, resilience, and a passion for sport in all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Physical Education across various year groups, including developing and delivering lessons that engage students in a wide range of physical activities.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal fitness, ensuring all students participate and gain confidence in their abilities.
Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and competitions.
Help students improve their physical fitness and athletic skills while promoting lifelong health and fitness habits.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to succeed.
Contribute to the wider school community through school events, sports days, and other initiatives.
Qualifications and Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Physical Education or a related field.
Proven experience teaching PE at secondary school level.
A passion for sport and physical fitness, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Approachable and energetic, with a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
