Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Manager to lead our 24/7 Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Manager will ensure the smooth operation of equipment and facilities while focusing on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading and developing multi-disciplined shift Technicians and Apprentices.
2. Managing maintenance and repairs for production equipment, HVAC, electrical, and general building maintenance.
3. Implementing planned downtime strategies to minimize breakdowns.
4. Monitoring stock levels and ensuring the availability of critical spare parts.
5. Collaborating with engineering teams to enhance cycle times and machine efficiencies.
6. Overseeing root cause investigations and compliance inspections.
7. Managing external contractors and ensuring compliance with audits and inspections.
8. Supporting high-level projects, including new machinery installations.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
1. Strong experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
2. Multi-skilled engineering expertise in maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and design.
3. Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and relevant legislation.
4. Ability to manage budgets and Capex effectively.
5. Experience in leading and developing a technical team across shifts.
6. Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to business needs.
Desirable:
1. Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
2. Time-served apprenticeship.
3. IEE 18th Edition Certificate.
4. Experience with robotics, automation, or cleanroom environments.
