Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 Per Day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Scunthorpe to provide dedicated support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role offers a rewarding opportunity to help a child reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
In this role, you will work closely with a student on a one-to-one basis, tailoring learning support to their individual needs. Your guidance and encouragement as a Special Needs TA will be key in helping them engage with their education and build confidence in their abilities.
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, what you’ll do:
* Provide one-to-one support to a student with SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
* Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and adapting materials to support their learning.
* Implement strategies to help manage behaviour and encourage engagement in classroom activities.
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
* Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
* Help develop the student’s communication, social, and emotional skills.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
* Maintain a safe and inclusive environment that promotes student well-being.
1:1 SEN TA Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN setting.
* A relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (preferred but not essential).
* A degree in Education, Psychology or in a similar field.
* A strong understanding of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
