East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (ESFRS) are recruiting for a dynamic and motivated individual to support the Engineering Services Team in administering and co-ordinating its wide range of operational equipment assets.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role will be the day-to-day co-ordination and administration of the operational equipment assets, utilising the asset database (currently Transcend) and ESFRS standard test procedures. You will also be required to offer basic help and guidance to both new and existing users on how to use these systems.
You will be required to carry out random asset audits at Fire Stations and Service Training Centre as you will be pivotal to the logistical management of equipment, particularly following major incidents.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work on their own initiative, full B category driving license, good interpersonal skills and have a practical approach to problem solving. They will need to demonstrate an attention to detail and have excellent IT skills. A good understanding of the relevance and importance of Health & Safety legislation is essential.
