MANE is looking for a Shore-Based Marine Engineer to handle the maintenance and repair of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) across the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for everything from routine servicing to major engine overhauls, ensuring vessels are in top operational condition. The role involves close collaboration with vessel crews and other technical teams.
Job Title: Shore-Based Marine Engineer
Reporting To: Lead Fleet Service Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, generators, gearboxes, and drive systems.
* Inspect and monitor vessel systems and machinery.
* Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing issues.
* Support crew with technical advice on engine and navigation systems.
* Recommend machinery upgrades or replacements as needed.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and working hours.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Requirements:
* Experience with diesel engines, driveline products, and vessel systems.
* At least 3 years in a similar marine engineering role.
* Flexible to travel and respond to vessel breakdowns on short notice.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Full UK driving license and good IT skills.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related field.
* Competent with 24v and 240v electrical systems.
