Job summary
Set in the landscaped grounds of the beautiful Greatham estate, Stichell House is a modern purpose built 35 bed residential home in an enviable location.
Location: Based at Stichell House, Greatham, Hartlepool
Hours: Average of 22.75 hours per week on a rolling two-week rota. Mondays to Sundays (including Bank Holidays).
Job Purpose: To assist the Cook with the preparing of a variety of nutritionally balanced meals for residents and staff.
Salary: £11.44 per hour (pay award pending)
Contract Period: Permanent
Main duties
1. Assisting the Cook with preparing, cooking, and serving meals.
2. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
3. Reviewing kitchen inventory, unloading supplies, and organizing the stockroom.
4. Ensuring tables are attractively set with all the appropriate crockery and utensils.
5. Considering residents' religious and cultural backgrounds, and preparing meals to meet individual medical needs.
6. Interacting with residents in a person-centred way, promoting respect and dignity.
