North Lanarkshire Council, as one of Scotland’s largest local authorities, is leading an exciting and ambitious regeneration programme for its town centres and surrounding areas as part of its plans for inclusive economic growth. Working with a variety of partners, the New Supply team has a key role in guiding this regeneration to drive improvements towards sustainable development with the aim to deliver 5,000 new homes by 2035. We are looking for a Project Development Co-ordinator to support the delivery of the council’s new supply / regeneration programmes by providing specialist advice on all design related activities from RIBA Stage 0-4/6, including identification/ evaluation of sites, development of project briefs and involvement in the design development process. You will also help co-ordinate the council’s Strategic Housing Investment Plan, support delivery of the council’s Buy Back scheme and Affordable Housing Policy, including acquisition of land/houses from private developers.
You will play a key role within the New Supply team to ensure it delivers a high-quality service and be involved in responding efficiently to challenges and successfully delivering high capital value development projects in line with the council’s financial and project management governance.
You should be educated to degree/HND/SVQ4 level and have considerable experience of working in a housing development environment as well as experience of partnership working/ community regeneration and co-ordinating staff or consultants and budgets. A good knowledge of the housing development process is essential.
Experience of project management, undertaking community consultation, working with design teams and delivery of new build housing projects is desirable.

This role will be based in our corporate office in Motherwell but will operate under our hybrid model of office and home-based working with an expectation to travel to council facilities and sites across North Lanarkshire.
