Description | Salary £27,269-£31,067 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | County Hall | International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship We are seeking to appoint an Assessment Officer to complete financial audit reviews for Social Care (Direct Payments) funding which may involve home visits across the County. You will also maintain, process, update and extract routine information from systems and databases and provide general administrative/financial support. The role will include the provision of general and financial advice or guidance in response to public, partner or service user enquiries and will involve the use of higher-level spread sheets and IT skills. This role is designated as agile and is attached to an administrative base at County Hall, Preston. You will be required to hold a full U.K driving licence and access to a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability. This is an essential car user post Knowledge of social care funding and commissioning would be an advantage. Duties include: Responsible for conducting telephone or home visits to complete Direct Payment audit reviews Maintain timely, accurate and up to date records and information for management and other professionals showing commitment for the role. Follow processes and procedures adhering to strict timescales, escalating tasks where necessary. Work closely with colleagues, service managers and other professionals to deliver an effective and high-quality service ensuring targets are met. Requirements: 4 GCSE's including Maths and English grade A to C (or equivalent qualification). A high degree of literacy and numeracy skills including an aptitude for working with figures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team Good time management skills Ability to work under pressure Experience using Microsoft Office.
