An unique opportunity has arisen to join our Business team assisting with outsourcing requirements for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. In this role as a Bookkeeper you will be assisting a variety of clients with regular bookkeeping tasks, preparation and submission of VAT returns, and production of management accounts. You will have direct contact with clients and act as their point of contact for any bookkeeping queries. There will be lots of opportunity to work closely with the wider Business team and VAT specialists. To be considered for this role you will ideally have some experience working in an accounts department or accountancy practice, as well as: Good attention to detail and accuracy. Good IT skills with the ability to learn new software. Self-motivated and able to manage the workload of multiple clients, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service to clients. Excellent communication skills, with clients and the wider team. Desirable Skills and Experience Some prior bookkeeping experience Experience in using cloud accountancy packages such as QuickBooks and Xero Knowledge of VAT rates and schemes As some of the work will be completed at client premises you will ideally have access to a vehicle to travel to their offices In return you will have support to establish your career with Larking Gowen at a pace that suits you both personally and professionally.
