Job Purpose
The role of the Sales Team Manager is important to us. You will be responsible for the ongoing line management of desk-based sales executives, selling Fuel solutions to new customers.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Your responsibilities day to day will be:
1. Working amongst your team, assisting our Fuel Card experts in attaining new business and developing robust customer relationships through cross-sell.
2. A proactive approach to assisting and driving your team to reach KPI’s and targets consistently.
3. Managing the day-to-day activities of the team to ensure activity/productivity targets are met.
4. Motivating the team to display a winning attitude and consistently exceed sales targets.
5. Conducting, documenting, and following up regular performance reviews with your team.
6. Conducting team meetings daily to maximize sales results and returns.
7. Delivering performance improvement where required to alleviate underperformance.
8. Delivering and displaying best practice and excellence in customer care.
9. Dealing with customer escalations and ensuring prompt resolution.
10. Working with peers in the office to maximize cross-sell opportunity for the group.
What do we expect of you?
1. Experience in a Team leading role – preferably in a KPI driven sales team.
2. Strong team building skills and an ability to build effective relationships with customers.
3. Able to demonstrate a 'common sense' approach to problem solving in the sales environment.
4. Manage own workload effectively and support your line manager.
5. Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision/non-decision makers.
6. Enthusiastic self-starter, driven by the intent to succeed and achieve company goals.
7. Computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office packages and business CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
