Job summary The Specialty Medicine Directorate are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Support Medical Secretary to support the Arrhythmia Service. The successful candidate will be required to work on their own initiative and demonstrate excellent typing skills, have a flexible approach and excellent communication & organisational skills. Working days to be decided at interview. Main duties of the job The main purpose of this role will be to provide secretarial and administration support such as audio typing, undertaking mail and filing duties, tracking patient records, managing patient pathways by following RTT guidelines, and liaising with patients, relatives/carers and external partners on a daily basis. A good understanding of the principles of Referral to Treatment is also required and an empathetic approach to customer care, therefore an excellent telephone manner will need to be demonstrated.
