Industry Experience:
* Proven experience in process optimisation, continuous improvement, or a similar role within the energy industry, preferably with a focus on utilities.
* Strong understanding of energy market operations, including regulatory requirements, billing, metering, and customer service processes.
* Manager level experience within the Energy industry.
Technical Skills:
* Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive decision-making.
Project Management:
* Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
* Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a focus on developing team capabilities in continuous improvement.
This is a hybrid role working from our Colindale hub 2 days per week.
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Process Optimisation Lead to join our Operational Excellence team. This role is pivotal in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our energy operations. As the Process Optimisation Lead, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements that enhance the overall performance of our energy services, streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
What you’ll do:
Process Analysis & Improvement:
* Conduct thorough analyses of existing energy-related processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
* Design and implement optimised processes that enhance productivity, reduce operational costs, and improve service delivery to our customers.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map out current workflows and design future state processes that align with business goals.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Work closely with key stakeholders, including the Energy Operations, Customer Service, IT, and Compliance teams, to ensure alignment and support for process changes.
* Present findings, recommendations, and improvement plans to senior leadership and other stakeholders, gaining buy-in and driving execution.
Project Management:
* Lead and manage process optimisation projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable outcomes.
* Develop project plans, track progress, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure successful implementation and sustained improvements.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the energy division by mentoring and training team members on relevant frameworks.
* Establish and monitor process performance metrics, ensuring ongoing review and improvement of operational processes.
Compliance & Risk Management:
* Ensure that all process changes comply with industry regulations, including Ofgem standards and guidelines, and do not compromise service quality or customer satisfaction.
* Identify potential risks associated with process changes and develop mitigation strategies.
