Senior Offshore Wind Adviser Full Time, Contractor (One year, Fixed Term) Location: All UK (Northeast England, London, or Aberdeen preferred) Competitive salary To support the delivery of OEUKs Offshore Wind member offering we are looking for a subject matter expert to join our HSE & Operations team as our Senior Offshore Wind Adviser. Reporting to the HSEO Director you will work with our members and stakeholders to champion the offshore wind operations sectors needs and requirements of the energy sector for today and the future. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to manage networks in the OEUK operations community, advise on industry performance and delivery, support the production for a portfolio of reports, insights, and technical papers to provide thought leadership and help advance OEUKs messaging. Key Accountabilities Subject matter expertise in offshore wind operations Provide technical support to OEUK members on wind farm and wind turbine operations and maintenance, and the role of decommissioning for offshore wind farms. Coordinate OEUK Forum and Workgroup meetings in relation to the key responsibilities for wind operational aspects Support guideline development and the development of relevant events, conferences, and reports Provide new thinking on how to address the issues and challenges facing the sector e.g. influencing investment decisions, with a focus on offshore wind, including floating. Conduct analysis and research to provide insights on the offshore wind operations sector Production of reports, insights, and technical papers Membership recruitment and retention for North of England to support members who have a regional footprint Undertake projects, including facilitating and reporting on meetings and driving progress of deliverables, in line with business priorities and the incumbents skills, knowledge, abilities and personal development opportunities Build relationships with key internal and external contacts through establishing regular contact and networking. Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes Knowledge Wind operations and maintenance industry experience UK Energy industry experience Skills Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills are essential, with an understanding of data modelling and visualisation tools e.g. Power BI, considered an advantage Attributes Keen interest in, and ability to acquire knowledge of, the UK energy industry and specifically offshore wind development, operations, maintenance, and supply chain. Good relationship management skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing, with specific expertise in project management. Energy and ability to work within and across teams, to facilitate effective decision-making and issues-management across OEUK Evidence of strong work ethic and awareness of discretion and need to observe confidentiality in all matters.
