Role Definition
To ensure optimum performance of the fat plant and improve its efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
To control and monitor the processing function of the tallow plant.
To ensure the days allocation of fat from the abattoir/boning hall & retail is processed during that day's operation.
To report any operational failures to the maintenance team.
To record & report daily processing volumes.
To carry out daily visual quality checks on the tallow being processed.
Full involvement with the maintenance team to understand any engineering issues.
Actively seek self-development and complete compulsory training in house.
To ensure a high level of hygiene is achieved and maintained.
Ensure optimum performance is achieved through effective and consistent setting of the production machinery.
Controlling production volumes for export where required.
To adhere to H&S policies at all times.
Knowledge and Skills
Full training will be given however the operator will demonstrate a background involving machine minding, with a mechanical attitude of a busy production process.
The operative will enjoy challenging, problem solving roles and be ideally suited to a fast-paced environment.
The operative should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask.
