About the Role
Connex Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work in various mainstream and SEND schools/provisions across Redbridge. As a SEND TA, you will provide vital support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and other learning or behavioral needs. Roles may include one-to-one support, group work, or assisting across classrooms to create an inclusive learning environment.

Assignment Details
* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours: Vary depending on the school – Generally 8.30pm – 4pm (Term Time only)
* Full Time Long-term, short-term and daily flexible supply opportunities available.
Person Specification
We are looking for candidates with the following:
* Experience working with children, ideally those with SEND such as Autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
* Knowledge of strategies to support SEND pupils, including behavior management, sensory regulation, and communication tools (e.g., Makaton, PECS).
* Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children with additional needs.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
* A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND and helping them achieve their potential.
* Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) OR a willingness to complete job-ready CPD training with us.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience providing 1:1 support, particularly in areas such as literacy, numeracy, or social skills.
* Understanding of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and how to implement them effectively.
