Business Development Manager
This will be office based at Northampton, so we will need someone that is able to reach that location every day and also be comfortable with some site visits for pricing.
The Role - Expectations and Experience of the Following:
1. General Asbestos Knowledge Skills:
o You'll have 3+ years within the Asbestos industry.
o You'll have experience pricing and delivering Asbestos projects.
2. Customer Experience:
o Experience interacting with customers face to face at all levels from onsite to Directors.
o Experience providing a first-class service to our customers, setting yourself apart from your competition.
3. Teamwork:
o You'll be able to demonstrate previous success working in both small and larger teams across multiple functions.
o Good communication skills.
4. Sales Knowledge:
o You'll have a grasp of the basic sales methodologies.
o Knowledge of recognized sales approaches such as SPIN Selling or Action Selling is a plus.
5. Pricing:
o Ability to price work from site visits or floor plans across all survey types.
o Capable of communicating effectively with site to support effective delivery of projects.
6. LinkedIn Expertise:
o Understand the value of personal and business branding to drive sales and brand visibility on LinkedIn.
The Person:
1. Possess at least 3+ years knowledge and experience within the Asbestos industry.
2. Have a working knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them (desired, not essential).
3. Have an inquisitive nature with a passion for recognizing opportunities and converting these opportunities into sales.
4. Good listening skills to understand the customers' challenges to successfully position with brand and products.
5. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
6. Exceptional personal performance in delivering challenging objectives.
7. Strong commercial and analytical skills.
8. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
9. Self-motivated, driven, results-oriented, and proactive attitude.
10. IT proficient, MS Office, CRM Systems.
