Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced mechanical engineering professional to join our team at the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT). As a Senior Instructional Officer, you will play a vital role in developing training programs that transform RAF personnel into competent and inspired mechanical technicians.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
You will be responsible for delivering training and lessons, producing lesson plans and supporting course materials, and participating in internal and external evaluation audits. You will also ensure that students meet required standards of conduct, punctuality, discipline, and dress, and integrate literacy and numeracy into lessons.

Person specification
The ideal candidate should be a great communicator with excellent public speaking skills. You must be well organised, proficient in time management, and have experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
* Recognised experience and background in mechanical engineering
* Experience in a military engineering environment
* Familiarity with mechanical engineering management practices and trade policy
* Experience in delivery of training
Role Specific Training:
* Defence Trainer course (DTc)
* Successfully shadow TG5 General Technician Mechanical (GTM) Training modules
Salary: £29,580 per year
