We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our 24/7 Swindon Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Site. The Maintenance Engineer will deliver effective PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and breakdown repairs supporting the daily operation to ensure the reliable supply of services to production, whilst always striving for opportunities to deliver enhanced plant improvements through innovative ideas and modifications.

The Role
1. Carry out planned maintenance on production machinery in line with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
2. Diagnose causes of, and repair equipment breakdowns, focusing on a “First Time Fix” methodology.
3. Carry out root cause analysis of plant downtime as required, embedding a robust improvement philosophy within the engineering team.
4. Accurately complete all relevant operational documentation to a high standard as required.
5. Provide detailed handovers at the end of each shift when required.
6. Ensure all work complies with SOPs and site Health & Safety standards. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards at all times.
7. Refurbish spare parts and other components.
8. Deliver greater plant reliability through effective engineering practices, always aiming for sustainable greater uptime and reliability of plant and equipment through all/any engineering activities carried out.
The Candidate
1. Full time served engineering apprenticeship L3, or equivalent qualifications - Required.
2. Electrical / Mechanical engineer with extensive post-apprenticeship experience in an Engineering role.
3. Electrical Engineering experience - highly advantageous.
4. Production Engineering experience.
5. Experience with Continuous Improvements.
6. GMP experience.
7. Good team player.
