This role is to work on a Clean Energy project for an offshore windfarm substation which will run for around 18 months.
Wood is currently seeking talented Structural SACS Analyst to join their team and support them with a new Offshore Wind project.
This is a Senior / Lead / Principal role - To model and analyse the global converter platform structure using SACS. Essential to have extensive SACS experience. Would suit Senior / Principal / Lead.

Experience
1. Degree in Mechanical / Civil/ Structural/ Design Engineering or similar.
2. Experience of delivering high-quality Structural Engineering using SACS.
3. Ability to apply engineering principles to solve challenging problems and to work effectively within a small team.
4. Background in the design of offshore platforms for oil & gas or offshore wind industries.
Advantage
5. Experience of plated steel structures.
6. Experience of Eurocode 3 (EN 1993-1-5) and DNV-RP-C201.
7. Experience of performing hand calculations and designs for input to SACS model.
8. Offshore Wind Foundation design practices and developments
9. Offshore wind regulations, codes of practice, and design standards
10. Ideally Chartered Engineer or progressing towards charted status.
