The Team Our highly respected Infrastructure & Capital Projects (A&M INFRA) team is built on deep industry sector expertise with a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex problems facing our public and private sector clients. Our multi-disciplinary team solving high-stakes issues for our clients across the capital project and infrastructure programme lifecycles. We are focused on improving outcomes on capital projects, mitigating risks and protecting value by reducing the level of uncertainty associated with the development, delivery and operation of programmes and projects. The Role A&M INFRA is further expanding in Europe, and we are looking to recruit a Director to join our fast growing London-based practice to lead on our offerings to UK Public Sector clients in Infrastructure & Capital Projects. Working alongside some of the industry's brightest minds and most experienced colleagues, you will have a leadership role in the origination, development and execution of client assignments and contributing to our success. As a senior member of the team, you can expect responsibility for delivering assignments to clients involved in both complex and major infrastructure programmes and capital projects. Such assignments range from helping clients set up programmes through to delivery of projects, transformations and turnarounds through outcome-focused advice and support across public-sector initiated projects and programmes. These may include, but not limited to, transport, social infrastructure, power & utilities, healthcare, education, real estate, and defence. As a networked individual, you will take ownership of business development activities, support strategies, manage projects and client relationships. You will also ensure the development of earlier-in-career team members. Reporting to senior leadership, you will help ensure with paramount importance that we deliver timely and quality advice to our clients. Activities and Responsibilities: Lead Business Development activities relating to the public sector and major programmes, including originating work through relationships, responses to Requests for Proposals, and empaneling and managing public sector frameworks on behalf of A&M INFRA Lead the execution of project workstreams, demonstrating expertise and effectively managing core components of projects including work plan, staffing, deadlines and scope or budget issues Conduct meetings and presentations with clients, as well as internal managerial and executive stakeholders, showcasing proficiency and confidence in discussing project matters. Collaborate with teams and clients, keeping abreast of client public sector issues, industry, policy, regulatory and market developments Expand relationships within client organisations; typically as the primary project contact Participate in industry events and associations to broaden professional connections, leveraging and further developing a strong network and personal brand Contribute to the identification and pursuit of new business prospects, aligned with the strategic goals of I&CP and other Business Units. Recognize and communicate add-on and/or cross-business opportunities and product offerings Drive project analyses, propose actionable plans, and exhibit strong decision-making capabilities. Demonstrate leadership qualities while effectively guiding project delivery to produce “client-ready” deliverables. Qualifications: Essential: Proven experience across a number of years in project management and tenacity in business development, ideally extensively within UK public sector consulting or major programmes. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Finance or a closely related pr relevant field. Previous experience in areas such as capital and programme strategy, Business Case development, programme readiness, organizational design and development, execution planning, asset management, governance and assurance, programme & project delivery, construction dispute resolution, and project excellence. Strong understanding of project and programme management principles. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and develop solutions, emphasizing creativity and critical thinking. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating ideas to diverse audiences and continuously able to expand their internal and external professional network Willingness to travel as required. Proactive self-starter with strong business acumen and a results-driven approach able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment recognizing new opportunities Experience with internal project leadership of small to medium sized multi-disciplinary teams, and the ability to mentor junior staff. Financial and operational modelling experience Highly networked individual with client management skills and aptitude for business development and negotiation. Novel or academic research or thought leadership experience. Competencies: Demonstrable MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) proficiency to a high standard. Ability to apply knowledge and skillset across new sectors or industries and to work in multi-disciplinary teams. Prior use of project management software (MS Project, Oracle P6, PowerProject, etc). Critical thinking skills providing fact-based recommendations, recognizing and addressing additional opportunities to serve the client, through an understanding of A&M’s services. Ability to work under pressure whilst demonstrating attention to detail, ensuring accurate, complete, and high-quality work. Good interpersonal relationship skills to effectively interact at multiple level (internally and externally).
