JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Birmingham, looking to recruit a new Base Maintenance Manager to join their team. This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression. This is a Permanent Position based in Birmingham, UK. Monday to Friday, working 08:30 - 17:30. Salary and Benefits Competitive salary and allowances 25 days annual leave entitlement bank holidays 4x Life assurance Employer pension contribution Sick pay Service awards from 2 years The Role The primary purpose of this role is to manage and deliver the base maintenance operations for the facility to ensure on time execution of identified deliverables by coordinating and interfacing with the commercial, planning and supply chain team as well as external resources and customers. Other Duties Involve Leading the production team in the delivery of a high-quality aircraft maintenance service for multiple customers Accountable for safety and compliance across the production maintenance environment Leading, organising, measuring and controlling the performance of the production team in support of company goals and objectives Ensuring regular dialogue with the facility team to promote problem solving, teamwork and risk-sharing Ensuring resource & capacity management through coordination and oversight of the Resource Administrator Managing production risks to the successful outcome of the facility deliverables Supporting and developing the operational systems Providing leadership, direction and management to the production team with a strong results-oriented focus In order to be successful in this role the Base Maintenance Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes Experience in a similar role within aviation and in a base/hangar maintenance environment Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations within aviation Working knowledge of Part 145 aviation legislation Demonstrable leadership characteristics and detailed awareness of business culture Advanced level of IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) Right to live and work in the UK If you think this is the role for you and you have the necessary skills and attributes, please apply today or contact JMC Aviation for more details.
