We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our Engineering team at our site in Kidderminster.
The candidate would be responsible for providing engineering support and information to our Production departments.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Support Production departments with technical drawings using Solidworks/AutoCAD
2. Work with Production to improve processes and efficiency
3. Use Mechanical Design techniques to stress test components and assemblies using Solidworks
4. Create and modify 3D assemblies to meet customer and production needs
5. Create and design new parts and solutions to solve build issues
6. Support 3rd party manufacturing suppliers with spec and build queries
7. Support the Engineering Manager on ongoing and new Projects
8. Support the Engineering Manager on product development
9. Ensure compliance to industry standards and regulations relating to the products manufactured by the company
10. Undertake other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business
Person Specification:
1. Mechanical Engineering Qualification(s) is essential
2. Minimum 1-year commercial experience
3. Working knowledge of Solidworks is essential
4. Good organisational skills, time management and administration skills
5. Good communication skills
6. Ability to work both independently and as a team meeting deadlines where needed
7. Ability to solve problems and follow projects through to conclusions
8. AutoCAD 2D advantageous
9. A working understanding of auto-electrics, hydraulics and chassis' would be advantageous
