About the Role
The role of Account Manager within Campbell Brothers is to maintain, develop and maximise our customer base, working to achieve our sales targets.
You will be responsible for a portfolio of accounts which will be local caterers; to input customers’ regular orders onto our computer system, whilst prompting the customer on products they may have forgotten and offering special deals available – ensuring you deliver excellent service at all times.
If you excel at understanding the exacting needs of customers, regularly exceed their expectations, thrive on selling and enjoy working in a fast paced, targeted environment, then this is an exciting opportunity for you to join us!
This role includes:
* Taking incoming and making outgoing calls to take our customers' orders.
* Upselling to customers to increase the order value and introduce new promotions, products not previously ordered in order to achieve sales targets.
* Developing all sales opportunities within the existing customer accounts through careful analysis of on-screen data and account statistics.
* Calling down-trading customers to establish the reason for loss of spend, regaining lost business where possible.
* Help design menus. Offer advice for seasonality, provenance and sustainability.
* Working with our customers for menu costing.
* Prospecting new business, including cold calling.
* Develop a strong working relationship with Business Development Managers.
You’ll have:
* Previous sales experience preferably within foodservice (meat experience is preferable but not essential).
* Sales focused and will deliver against targets.
* Highly organised with effective time management skills.
* Assured and professional communication, both written and verbal. Much of your work will be telephone based, so you must be adept in the art of conversation and inspire our clients' confidence in you.
* Driven and motivated by targets with the personal resilience to work well under pressure.
* Accountability – ensuring effective communication at all times with our clients. Handling complaints, finding solutions where and when required, ensuring excellent management of accounts.
* Confidence in your approach to calling.
* Good telephone manner, and take calls in a professional, courteous and timely way.
* A team player.
* Great planning, prioritising and organisational skills.
* Positive, friendly and can-do attitude.
* Confidence and assertiveness to achieve goals in a respectful and positive manner.
