Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)
Salary: GBP102-GBP111 per day
Reeson Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in M23, Wythenshawe, supporting pupils aged 11 to 16 with a range of needs, including ADHD, SEMH, ASD, behavioural challenges, and other learning difficulties. This Teaching Assistant role is full-time, long-term, and perfect for someone who is dynamic, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people.

This specialist SEN school provides a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment for pupils who require additional support with emotional regulation, behaviour, and learning. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be part of a dedicated team, working in small classes to help students develop both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
1. Provide classroom support as a Teaching Assistant for pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, and behavioural needs.
2. Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils engage with learning and develop confidence.
3. Assist with behaviour management, emotional regulation, and daily learning activities.
4. Adapt learning materials to meet the diverse needs of pupils in an SEMH setting.
5. Support pupils with social skills, resilience, and positive behaviour strategies.
6. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure each pupil receives the support they need.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
1. Experience as a Teaching Assistant in mainstream or SEN settings, alternative provisions, or youth-focused environments.
2. Experience working with young people in youth centres, sports coaching, mentoring, or behaviour support roles is highly relevant.
3. A resilient, proactive, and patient approach to working with pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
4. The ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in a team.
5. Commitment to a full-time, long-term role in an SEMH school setting.
