Full job description
Provide admin support to the Clinical Photography team to accurately document patient medical history and lesion specific information. To process data and information from clinical photographic requests, using a range of computer systems in a timely way; being mindful of data protection and security at all times. Use of specialist software to help process images and lesion reports, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Liaising with administration, clinical staff, support staff, patients and relatives; both face to face, electronic media and telephone communication, regarding the Teledermatology service.
Receive and process information in accordance with Trust Policies and complying with the Data Protection Act. Communicate effectively and liaise with other health professionals in a clear concise and professional manner, contributing to the successful outcome of their clinical teledermatology requests. Liaise with other users or Trusts to assist in providing a high quality, secure and efficient service in sharing images when required. Act as an ambassador for the department and promote services.
Undertake statutory training as required in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and Trust policy. To ensure that security in the work environment is maintained, by processing data in a confidential way ensuring the integrity of the image is maintained at all times. To act as front of house receptionist and telephonist when required and give admin and clerical support to members of the department. Undertake a range of general office duties.
The post requires the ability to prioritise the various demands and to work with supervision, but referring to the manager when necessary. Responsible for gathering relevant clinic information to aid the photographers work scheduling. Booking in patient details and assisting with the image management such as copying files. To provide reception services - meeting and greeting patients and staff.
Assist the clinical photographer during teledermatology photographic sessions. To act as chaperone to photographers/patients during photographic session as required. Assist in reassuring anxious patients/relatives/carers regarding the photography policy and procedures prior to their photographic session. Occasionally undertake a patient/customer satisfaction survey and assist with the bi-annual Patient Information audit to meet Trust standards.
Managing the electronic departmental diary. Taking bookings/requests and forwarding to the staff. To undertake other duties commensurate with this grade of post in agreement with the relevant line manager.
