Regional Commercial Manager (North West Region)
Role: Regional Commercial Manager
Accountable for the North-West Business Unit working with the operational Business Unit Director to deliver the regions targets.
Reports to the Head of Commercial - Onshore
Key Skills / Attributes:
An experienced commercial manager with at least 10 year’s experience in a commercial role.
Must have:
Experience of managing a portfolio of work across various clients and locations running concurrently.
Contractor background, used to managing month end CVR process, managing site costs and regional overhead costs
Strong understanding of contract models predominantly based upon schedule of rates / unit rates and based upon various methods of measurement
Strong understanding of labour costs including those governed via national agreements (NAECI, CIJC etc)
Track record of extracting value / gross margin from contract models including the management of gross margin / contract improvement plans
Experience managing a small team of commercial staff (QS’s, Cost Engineers, Commercial admin) including mentoring and individual development of direct reports
Comfortable in front of the client, including negotiating contract settlements / agreements both pre & post contract
Preferable but not essential:
Experience in industrial services
Knowledge of contract law and disputes
Location: Covering the North-West region (Runcorn, Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas). Local candidate preferred but could be located elsewhere in the UK if willing to travel to our north-west office in Ellesmere Port 3 days per week. Up to 2 days p/week WFH or local office. Accommodation and travel would be paid for the right candidate
