Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer:
1. Service, repair, and modify a range of mechanical and electrical tools
2. Conduct electrical diagnostics
3. Manage administration tasks and maintain accurate service and repair records
4. Provide excellent customer service standards
5. Occasionally attend on-site breakdowns
6. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations
7. Perform PAT testing and PDI inspections
This Mechanical Engineer role is ideal for someone with a background in electrical or mechanical work, looking to further their career in a supportive and steady work environment. Prior experience with electrical or mechanical fitting is beneficial but not required. In this role, you'll work alongside an experienced team focusing on the maintenance and repair of a variety of equipment, including generators, power tools, saws, disc cutters, and other diesel, petrol, and electrical machinery.
Relevant experience for this Mechanical Engineer position such as Workshop Engineer, PDI Engineer, PAT Tester, or Mechanical Fitter is valuable. Familiarity with equipment like Makita, Stihl, Hilti, or Bosch is a plus.
A Valid UK Driving License is required for this Mechanical Engineer role.
