We are looking to offer a People Compliance Advisor (Global Mobility) the opportunity to join our People Compliance team based in Stevenage.
About the role
As the People Compliance Advisor, you will ensure global mobility compliance as well as work with the HRBP teams, People Services and Line Managers to provide advice on how we employ international candidates. You will also maintain visa data records.
This role offers hybrid working and you would be expected to attend our head office in Stevenage one to two days per week.

As the People Compliance Officer, you’ll get the opportunity to:
1. Manage the onboarding and visa / sponsorship process for our international recruits, ensuring our practices remain ethical, legally complaint and supportive.
2. Oversee and supporting employee relocations including immigration and support in finding accommodation.
3. Track and report on visa and sponsorship metrics, including cost and time to complete each application.
4. Develop a welcome pack that enhances the first impressions and experience of joining in each division and helps guide on the practical steps to settle in the UK.
5. Develop, manage and implement clear processes and supporting information for managers and new recruits regarding the welcoming, engaging, training and how we support our international recruits post arrival.
6. Set up a peer support network to enable long-term support for the individuals in their work community
7. Gain feedback from the recruits to ensure the process is continually evaluated and the programme is successful.
8. Partner with international recruitment agencies when candidates are placed to ensure we have the relevant paperwork in place.
9. Supporting the visa process in partnership with the central People Services team and Legal Advisers
10. Ensure compliance with any relevant legislation, including monitoring and implementing any necessary changes and be responsible for responding to any audit requirements
What you’ll bring?
11. Global Mobility Experience – good experience in managing candidate relocations from overseas to the UK.
12. Visa / sponsorship Experience – solid understanding of UK immigration and the visa application process
13. Systems Experience - a good understanding of HR systems (we use Oracle) and some knowledge of IDVT tools (we use Staff Vetting)
14. Stakeholder Engagement – an ability to engage with and support hiring managers, the TA team, People Services and HRBPs with any queries they may have.
15. Compliance - understanding of and commitment to compliance with relevant employment legislation and ethical standards in talent acquisition and onboarding practices.
16. A can-do attitude – an ability to work to tight deadlines and a mindset that wants to continually improve what we do.
