Quality Control Inspector A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a quality control team within a global company specialising in engineered process heating and control systems. This role is well-suited to someone with experience in quality inspection within manufacturing, particularly in high-pressure and hazardous environments. Key Responsibilities: Inspect incoming products to ensure consistency and integrity, including dimensional checks, electrical circuit resistance, coating thickness, and material traceability. Process and communicate any rejections or corrective actions required with external providers. Verify parts against orders, conduct visual and electrical testing of spare parts, and coordinate with the dispatch department. Maintain accurate inspection records in both hard and digital formats. Work closely with Engineers, Production Supervisors, and production staff to resolve any issues related to heater bundles, pressure vessels, and control panels. Support and assist in the training of new staff members. Adhere to Quality and Health & Safety Management systems in line with BS EN ISO 9001 requirements. Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and specifications relevant to final product quality. Skills & Experience: A proactive and methodical approach with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment. Strong organisational skills and a systematic approach to workload management. Good computer literacy. Experience in hazardous area and high-pressure equipment manufacturing. Knowledge or experience in inspecting electrical/mechanical products in industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical. Proficiency in using standard measuring equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Understanding of ATEX and PD5500 standards. Key Interfaces: Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Manager – Direct line manager. Procurement – Vendor communication. Stores – Supporting materials movement. Engineers – Liaising on inspection and testing issues. Projects – Communicating material issues in line with project schedules. Production & Planning – Aligning with priorities and resolving technical queries to support smooth production. Dispatch – Coordinating with dispatch staff to prevent delays in product release.
