Local Unit & Position Description Area UK & Ireland is part of the Maritime Region West Europe. The area offers Maritime Classification Services from seven UK locations, with its headquarters in London. Services delivered are Fleet in Service, incorporating Ships in Operation and Offshore, as well as Classification and Verification of Material and Components (CMC/ VMC). We are looking for a CMC/ VMC Surveyor to join our team in the UK, reporting to the local Service Line Manager, mainly covering the geographical area around Gorleston/ Great Yarmouth. Main responsibilities: Certification and Verification of Materials and Components under Class and Non-Class related systems and processes. Essential product lines for CMC Surveyor: Electrical systems, automation, semi-finished materials and products, welded components/ structures, pumps, compressors, pressure vessels and hydraulics, such as cylinders, etc. Other main product lines for CMC Surveyor, which will be considered: Dynamic Positioning Systems, power generators, electrical motors, switchboards and battery/ UPS systems transformers, frequency converters, propulsion and auxiliary engines, turbines. thrusters, gearboxes.
