The Project Manager will lead and coordinate high-impact digital analytics and data initiatives that are foundational to Rentokil Initial’s data transformation roadmap. This role will manage the deployment of key projects, including the data layer strategy, global end-to-end (E2E) tracking, server-side tracking, and data automation initiatives that support insights and attribution models.
Working closely with the Digital Analytics & Insights team and global stakeholders, the Project Manager will ensure these initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact.
This role is ideal for a project manager with experience in large-scale data, tracking, and analytics projects, particularly within digital marketing. The Project Manager will have a strong understanding of digital data strategies and the ability to coordinate complex, cross-functional projects that align with Rentokil Initial’s long-term data goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Management: Lead the planning, scheduling, and management of complex data and analytics projects, including global deployment of the data layer strategy, E2E tracking, server-side tracking, and data automation initiatives.
2. Roadmap Alignment and Execution: Collaborate with the Head of Data Analytics and Insights to align projects with the roadmap, ensuring all initiatives support Rentokil Initial’s strategic objectives for digital data transformation.
3. Stakeholder Coordination and Communication: Act as the central point of contact for all project stakeholders, including global and regional teams, to ensure clear communication on project progress, risks, and dependencies. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define deliverables, and ensure alignment.
4. Resource Management: Work with internal teams (Data Architect, Data Quality Engineer, Digital Analytics & Tracking Manager) and external partners to allocate resources effectively and manage project priorities to meet deadlines.
5. Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and ensuring stakeholders are informed of any changes that may impact timelines or project outcomes.
6. Process and Workflow Optimisation: Drive process improvements in project management, establishing repeatable, scalable workflows for deploying data initiatives globally and ensuring efficient coordination across teams.
7. Budget and Timeline Oversight: Manage project budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality project outcomes.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally within digital analytics, digital marketing, or data-driven environments. Experience managing multi-year, high-impact data and analytics projects is highly desirable.
2. Technical Skills:
1. Project Management Tools: Proficiency in Jira for task management, tracking, and team collaboration is essential, as it is the primary tool used within our projects. Familiarity with Miro for project planning and visualisation is also highly beneficial.
2. Digital Analytics and Tracking Tools: Familiarity with digital analytics tools, including Google Analytics 4, server-side tracking, and CRM systems. Experience managing projects involving data layer and E2E tracking implementations is a plus.
3. Budget and Resource Management: Experience managing project budgets and resource allocation to ensure effective use of time and finances.
4. Understanding of Data Architecture and Automation: Knowledge of basic data architecture and automation principles, with experience working alongside technical teams (Data Architect, Data Quality Engineer) to coordinate data integration and tracking projects.
3. Certifications: Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are beneficial but not essential, particularly if supported by strong experience in data and digital marketing project environments.
4. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
