The home is centred around a nineteenth century barn, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home sits within two acres of landscaped grounds, and provides personal and dementia care for 41 residents. Competencies for Housekeeping Assistant: Experience working in a previous housekeeping role Team player Ability to work under pressure Willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our residents Good time management skills Flexibility with working hours Good written and oral communication skills A positive and enthusiastic outlook Day to Day Responsibilities for Housekeeping Assistant: As a Housekeeping Assistant you will joining our team to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness in bedrooms and public areas within the Home. You will also be responsible for the wash, dry, iron and put away or laundry, including returning clothing to resident's bedrooms. You will keep all mandatory training up to date and complete additional training as required, including Infection Control, Manual Handling and Health & Safety Support our Team Members in the smooth running of housekeeping shifts. Ensure the Housekeeper is kept fully informed of all major developments (i.e. team issues, complaints, inspections) always. To be aware of Jasmine Healthcare's philosophy and to contribute ideas to improve the standard of care provided. Essential Requirements for Housekeeping Assistant: A good reason or experience that has drawn you to working in a care setting. Live within 20 minutes of the Home. Preferred Requirements for Housekeeping Assistant: One years' experience in a similar role. One years' experience working in a residential or nursing home. Hold a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification (or willing to work towards this). Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
