Job summary The main objective of the role is to facilitate flow and discharges with medical, surgical, A&E admissions and elective admissions, organisation of all internal transfers and external transfers and repatriations to and from other Trusts. The post holder must have excellent communication skills as coordination with a number of different departments is an essential part of the role. The post holder must demonstrate clinical excellence in contributing to the management of patients and develop strong working relationships with various teams including the Emergency Department. The successful candidate must have an understanding of the A&E government targets and current issues that can affect the timely flow of patients through the hospital and appropriate operational process.
