SEN Teaching Assistant's Needed - Various Roles across Teignbridge Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Various Roles Across Teignbridge Employment Type: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Salary: £90.00 - £95.00 per day About the Role: Teaching Personnel is seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in various roles supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). These full-time positions are ideal for individuals who have experience or a keen interest in working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), or challenging behaviour. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of students and help them thrive both academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, tailored to their individual needs. Implement strategies to support students with Autism, SEMH, PMLD, or challenging behaviour, promoting positive learning experiences. Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to develop and deliver personalised learning plans. Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Use de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies where necessary. Assist with personal care and physical support for students with PMLD if required. Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable, particularly in Autism, SEMH, or PMLD settings. Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting learning. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, or behaviour management are advantageous but not essential. Attributes: A positive and empathetic attitude, resilience, and a genuine desire to support students with SEN. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to different school settings and student needs.
