Job Description Job Title: Project Health and Safety Manager Location: Hull Salary: £65,000-£70,000 per annum plus package Job Description: A leading Tier One contractor is seeking a Project Health and Safety Manager for a major civil engineering project in Hull. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities on-site to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the company’s HSE policies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement health and safety plans, risk assessments, and safe work practices. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing root cause analysis and recommendations. Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to the site team and contractors. Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to ensure safety protocols are integrated into the project lifecycle. Liaise with external bodies, including regulatory authorities and auditors, regarding health and safety issues. Requirements: Diploma-level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent). Proven experience in managing health and safety on large-scale civil engineering projects. Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
