We’re looking for an excellent communicator to join the Milestones Communications and Marketing team on a fixed term maternity cover contract at our Trust Office in Staple Hill.
Help us promote the outstanding efforts of our staff teams, the achievements of the people we support, and the impact of our charity.
You will be supporting the Communications and Marketing team in producing and delivering high quality internal and external communications that promote the right messages with the right people and groups at the right time.
We’re looking for a creative individual with strong writing skills to support us creating and sharing content across a wide variety of media, including email, print, video, social media, and web. It’s a varied role that would suit an individual who likes to get involved in all aspects of the marketing mix and who would like to work as part of an organisation that makes a genuine and positive difference in people’s lives, every day.
Key Accountabilities
* Support communications and marketing at Milestones through delivery of key messages that engage both internal and external audiences.
* Undertake digital marketing activities, including management of social media channels, to promote Milestones’ brand and values with target audiences.
* Develop multimedia content, such as video, graphics and stories, for publication across different digital platforms, ensuring our intranet and websites achieve key communication and marketing objectives.
* Produce or manage production of internal and external Trust marketing materials, ensuring consistency of brand, and use of appropriate language, tone and style.
* Write and edit content for a variety of internal and external e-newsletters and magazines.
* Work to ensure the Trust’s reputation is safeguarded, managed and enhanced.
* Work collaboratively with other departments and services, across the Trust, as well as people we support, to produce and share key content for internal and external audiences.
* Work with external agencies and partners, such as web developers and designers, on communications and marketing projects.
* Support in planning and delivery of events, including promoting the launch of new services, or employee recognition awards.
* Produce management information and reports such as statistics on website usage, newsletter consumption and social media engagement.
The successful candidate will:
* have the ability to communicate effectively, accurately and professionally with staff, the people we support and a range of other internal and external stakeholders
* be an effective user of Adobe Creative Cloud software, in particular InDesign (for literature design), and Premiere Pro/Adobe Express (for video editing)
* have experience of providing excellent quality professional marketing materials
* be experienced in writing and publishing content across a variety of media, including social media and web, edited to meet the needs of different audiences
* be willing to be flexible, adaptable and responsive to change
* be able and willing to travel as required for the role, for example visiting Milestones Trust services to gather content or for events
