Job Description:
A s the ILS Manager you will be responsible for developing robust engineering solutions with within their own discipline, taking into account the impact of their work on broader project issues. Engineers will be expected to plan and deliver their own work, across medium term planning horizons and provide complex technical advice to both internal and external customers and will be responsible for developing others.
Typical Accountabilities:
Mentor, coach and develop more junior members of the team in order to develop overall capability.
Manage a team effectively as a team leader/line manager.
Present robust engineering solutions at design and peer reviews to ensure technical accuracy of specifications, designs and reports.
Undertake project tasks, detailing input, processes and output together with cost/timescale constraints to ensure delivery of project objectives.
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies, and techniques.
Taking an active role in engineering process improvement.
You will be required to supervise team members and subsequent responsibility for planning and managing this workload.
You will be able to take ownership of a work package; planning and scheduling own workload and the work of others.
You will be able to interact effectively with customers and suppliers.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate technical expertise within supportability.
You will be responsible for defining standards and procedures to be used in accomplishing all appropriate engineering tasks.
