About the role:
The Support Worker will be employed in the rehabilitation of adults with mental health problems within the community.
The Support Worker will be expected to advise and support persons with mental health difficulties and assist them to develop personal, occupational and life skills. The Support Worker will receive the relevant training to carry out these tasks.
About you:
Ability to listen and communicate effectively with service users, their families and workers involved at all levels
Empathy and patience
Ability to think creatively and help service users find innovative solutions
Ability to establish and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with service users and their carers
Ability to remain calm and professional in response to stressful and challenging behaviour
What you will do:
- You will be responsible for supporting someone to remain in their community.
- Support individuals to develop skills.
- Support individuals to access local activities including social and leisure pursuits.
This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
