Job summary The post holder will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the TB service in order to deliver high quality care to patients and ensure best use of resources. This will include providing assurance that the service is meeting the requirements of the Commissioners and also the Care Quality Commission Standards for Better Health and other Governance criteria such as NICE Guidance and the NSF for Older People. This includes investigating, monitoring and raising awareness in the prevention, surveillance, investigation, management and control of TB. The post-holder will also be responsible for raising the profile of the TB specialist service as an specialist resource within Primary Care and Secondary Care, ensuring appropriate diagnosis, treatment and individual care plans are in place as well as providing an educative function to GPs and Practice Nurses.
