We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Spatial Data Team Leader, on a 4-month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £30.95 - £40.36 per hour
Responsibilities:
* Take the lead responsibility to ensure, with legal assistance as appropriate, that any formal notices issued by the Team are accurate, legally correct, and robust.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and communities to ensure the council and the directorate's strategic priorities are effectively implemented.
* Advise Members on matters within the scope of the team's work and assist in formulating divisional policies and objectives in this area.
* Manage the team's income and resources, ensuring adequate capacity to meet statutory requirements and any national and local performance standards, identifying risks, planning ahead, and leading any selection and recruitment process in line with the Council's policies and protocols.
* Lead on the preparation of policies, procedures, guidance, and good practice notes, and the development of quality assurance and system manuals on spatial data matters.
* Manage the production, monitoring, review, and update of the Council's Brownfield Land Register and any successor document, and work across the directorate to deliver any supporting documents, reporting progress as necessary.
Required Experience:
* An experienced team manager.
* Proven experience in managing and motivating a team with a constant workload, under pressure with demanding deadlines.
* Extensive experience of working and delivering in a customer-focused environment.
