Proposal Manager
Following a sustained period of growth, Touchlight is currently seeking a Proposal Manager, reporting to our Head of Technical Proposals, to join an expanding commercial team, supporting our growing customer base and global network of customers.
This is an exciting, fast-paced environment suited to initiative-taking individuals who can contribute to the evolution and growth of a customer facing technical proposals team. Candidates with a background in Cell & Gene Therapy and/or experience within a CDMO environment are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
* Generate customer proposals, to covering all phases of drug development to support both new customer acquisition and growth of existing accounts.
* Generate customer change orders, ensuring changes to programs are accurately documented and costed.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and tools to support generation of customer centric proposals.
* Attend and/or host customer site visits, including co-ordination with internal technical SME’s and commercial colleagues.
* Attend customer calls and offsite customer meetings (when required) to support the sales process and new business acquisition.
* Understand the customer needs and guide technical discussions, alongside Application Specialists (AS), in order to develop a scope of work that meets the customer requirements, including but not limited to project scope, timelines, costs and pricing. Contribute to pricing and margin analysis during internal proposal review.
* Work cross functionally with Sales, AS, Head of Proposals and Program Management to secure new business.
* Coordinate and work closely with the technical teams to ensure accurate and technically sound proposals.
* Be responsible for handover of new projects to program management upon execution.
Skills and experience
* A d egree in life sciences (or related discipline).
* +3 years of industry experience in either a Biotech, Pharmaceutical or CDMO with development or manufacturing of Cell & Gene therapies or pharmaceutical products
* Experience in a customer facing/sales support role desirable
* Experience in generating clear technical project plans and scenarios
* Proven ability to understand complex challenges, and develop creative solutions
