Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live In Care Professional to join our team in Shoreham, Kent. As a Live In Care Professional, you will provide essential support and companionship to a elderly male client requiring general support within his home. You will be required to enhance his quality of life and help him maintain his independence.
1. Live in the client's home, providing round-the-clock care and support
2. Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
3. Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
4. Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
5. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
6. Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
7. Accompany clients to appointments, social events, and outings
8. Support clients with mobility and transfers as needed
9. Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns
10. Maintain accurate records of daily activities and client's condition
11. Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
12. Organise and participate in stimulating activities tailored to the client's interests and abilities
13. Assist with pet care when required
14. Manage household tasks such as laundry, shopping, and running errands
Salary
15. £120.00 daily rate
16. Additional £5.00 per day food allowance
17. Approx 3 week on 1 week off rota (can be negotiated)
18. Full milage paid when using car for client purposes
Qualifications
19. Valid driver's licence and willingness to use own or client's vehicle when necessary
20. Genuine passion for caring for others, with a friendly and empathetic demeanour
21. Previous experience in caring or a related field (preferred)
22. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
23. Strong time management and organisational abilities
24. Proficiency in personal care techniques and light housekeeping
25. Physical capability to assist with mobility and transfers
26. Understanding of medication management and administration
27. Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care (preferred)
28. Ability to maintain a professional and supportive attitude in challenging situations
29. Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules
30. Excellent observation and reporting skills
31. Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes
32. Willingness to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
33. Right to work in the United Kingdom
Additional Information
As a Live In Care Professional, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
