HappyTree Dental has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. Role will start with 3 days a week with the potential increase to 4 days in the future.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Dental Hygienist performs general preventative and hygiene services, working with the Principal Dentist to educate patients on treatment plans to promote and maintain dental and oral health, and provides an exceptional patient experience.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including probing, scaling, root planing, polishing, topical fluoride (including SDF), x-ray, and sealants.
2. Serve as an oral health educator by introducing preventative techniques that can successfully be implemented by patients, allowing them to reach their goals.
3. Establish strong patient relationships by personalizing each appointment to each patient’s hygiene needs while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
4. Conduct initial dental and periodontal assessments and collaborate with dentists on patient care and hygiene treatment plans.
5. Discuss treatment options with patients to help them make educated healthcare decisions.
6. Maintain accurate dental records.
7. Schedule continuing care appointments.
8. Participate as part of a synergistic healthcare team.
WHO YOU ARE
You have practiced for at least 1 year (minimum) as a Registered Dental Hygienist and are licensed in British Columbia. You are hoping to work closer to where you live and call (or soon plan to call) the beautiful city of Victoria, BC, home.

HOURS:
* Clinic is open 8-4:30pm
* No evenings/weekends
* 3 days a week to start (Mon-Wed) and potential to additional day in future (Thurs)
* latest start date is Jan 3 2025, however we are able to having you at the office sooner in a limited or full capacity. We are happy to chat about potential start dates/timeline.

Requirements:
* Valid dental hygiene license (BC)
