Based at our Broadway Offices in Accrington, our Customer Contact team is responsible for 150,000 customers a year by telephone, email, web and in person. We provide a first rate service to everyone in the Borough and we would like you to join our team. We want you to help us to build upon the already successful customer services delivered through our Customer Contact Centre and Hyndburn’s status as an excellent council.
We are recruiting for a Contact Centre Officer to deliver information and guidance on all Council services including Council Tax, Housing Benefits and Council Tax Support, Waste and Recycling Services, Environmental Health, Elections and many more.
This is a versatile, busy and demanding role which requires an in depth knowledge of all customer facing services. Knowledge and experience of Benefits and Revenues is desirable and a comprehensive training plan will be delivered.
With experience of working in a customer services environment, you must be able to empathise and problem solve on behalf of customers, work in a busy environment, have the ability to understand and relay information and be willing to ‘go the extra mile’ for our customers.
Hours of work are Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00. Flexible working may be available.
