See a wide range of hand conditions and post operative cases, playing a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to. Work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPS and consultants in order to optimise the health and recovery of our patients.

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital provides high-quality healthcare working with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. We are proud to have received a "good" rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We've been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care and our Endoscopy service has achieved JAG accreditation. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit. The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and we are located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre.
Job responsibilities
As a Hand Therapist / Senior Physiotherapist at our hospital, you'll have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. You will need to show further training in hand therapy and have experience in custom splinting. You also have excellent clinical reasoning and rehabilitation skills, and you're committed to developing as a practitioner. You're a confident communicator, skilled at engaging with all kinds of people. As part of the team you will have clinical support available from your Regional clinical lead along with Physiotherapists, with leadership from the management team on site. You will have a CPD budget to encourage you to continue your learning and striving for clinical excellence. The role is part time - two days a week to support the hand therapy service and work alongside our hand consultants. It's equally important that you share our values. We believe in putting people first and providing personalised, holistic healthcare. That makes you part of a much wider team, working to create a healthier future for each individual client.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, you'll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Experience
* Have further training in hand therapy and experience in splinting.
* Demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
* Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
* Be a competent and confident IT user with strong organisation skills.
* Have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
