The Production Administrator will work closely with the Stock Controller, Storeman & Production Manager to ensure the smooth workflow of Production related administration.
With the aim to develop and have more responsibility during your apprenticeship, the role includes:
1. Administration of production works orders in the company ERP system
2. Issuing stock to works orders based on actual usages
3. Receipting works orders to stock
4. Generating new works orders, based on system supply and demand
5. Working with the production manager and stock controller in all production related administration
6. Raising purchase orders in line with manufacturing demands
7. Liaising with suppliers via email and telephone regarding purchase orders and delivery dates as required
8. Ensuring that the policies of the company are observed and that good practice is encouraged, particularly in the areas of health & safety, equal opportunities and confidentiality
9. Spending some time training in other functions, such as accounts, goods in & projects administration
10. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the organisation which is relevant to your post within the company to meet the overall business objectives
11. Full training will be given; you must be comfortable in using computers
As a business administration apprentice, you will complete the following qualifications as part of your Apprenticeship:
1. Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
2. Level 2 Functional Skills maths and English if equivalents are not already achieved
3. Developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to work within an office environment
4. This apprenticeship is delivered in the workplace and 20% of your working time will be dedicated towards training and learning new skills
5. Allocated a tutor who will provide you with personal support and assessment at pre-arranged times
6. Assessment is through a variety of methods including observations in the workplace, witness testimonies, product evidence and professional discussions
7. All evidence will be logged to your electronic portfolio
Working hours: Monday - Thursday, 7.45am - 4.30pm and Friday, 7.45am - 3.15pm.
