About the role
Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Field Technician Supervisor with a strong, practical background in the network operation in the clean water sector working across London & Thames Valley.
You will be responsible for delivering and supporting a range of field-based activities involving valve operations such as mains isolations, asset investigation, and water quality activities such as flushing and sampling.
Alongside the network coordinator and project manager, you will have the skills and experience to control the day-to-day running of the field operatives and ensure all activities are performed safely and efficiently within a timely manner.
You will be responsible for mentoring and supporting the field operatives, sharing your knowledge and skills.
You will be expected to carry out routine audits of both work and equipment and provide relevant feedback to both the operative and the management team.
The role will be mainly daytime based but will require flexibility to work occasional nights to help support night operatives overcome complex jobs and offer them support as and when needed as well as conduct monthly audits.
As the Field Technician Supervisor, your duties & responsibilities will be:
* Carry out mains isolations, asset investigation, and water quality activities such as flushing and sampling, and support all operatives in these activities.
* Control the day-to-day running of the field operatives and ensure all activities are performed safely and efficiently within a timely manner.
* Be the first point of contact for all operatives on site.
* Liaise directly with management, field operatives, and office staff to ensure the highest standard of communication between all parties.
* Suggest resolutions to complex jobs and help operatives overcome any problems they face on site.
* Use GIS and provide plans and other reference documents to operatives on site as well as conduct trace extensions.
* Perform monthly audits on work and equipment for all operatives – both days and nights.
* Brief all operatives on any new procedures and hold regular team meetings to brief any relevant toolbox talks.
The Key Requirements
* Experience in the clean water industry, ideally network operations.
* Previous supervisor or management experience.
* EUSR Water Hygiene.
* Valve operations.
* Flushing and sampling.
* Full, clean UK driving licence (essential for this role).
